Kidney Stones

REQUEST CONSULTATION

Clinical Overview

Kidney stones are hard deposits made of minerals and salts that form inside your kidneys. They can affect any part of your urinary tract and are often extremely painful.

Key Symptoms

Severe, sharp pain in the side and back, pain that radiates to the lower abdomen and groin, pink or red urine, nausea, and persistent need to urinate.

Treatment Options

Small stones may pass with increased water intake and pain relievers. Larger stones may require medical procedures like Lithotripsy (using sound waves to break stones) or surgical removal.

Prevention & Lifestyle

Stay hydrated by drinking enough water to keep urine clear, reduce sodium (salt) intake, and limit foods rich in oxalates like spinach, rhubarb, and certain nuts.
